Situated in Ampfield, just outside Romsey, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens is an arboretum covering 180 acres and accommodating over 42,000 trees and shrubs - most notably an almost unparalleled collection of oaks, camellia, magnolia and rhododendron.
Arlico were approached by Hampshire County Council to work alongside them to create a lighting design for the new Café at their Jermyn’s House facility, as well as relighting the main house which was being refurbished at the same time. The stunning architectural and interior uses a lot of natural wood in its design, which is complimented by Arlico’s Chic 104 pendants in a bronze paint finish and fitted with high CRI, warm white, light bi-directional sources. Curva Linear wall lights in matching Bronze Californium paint add visual interest and facilitate a greater selection of scenes. High level Aura COB LED is recessed into the vertical sides of the skylight to ensure this is still visually appealing after darkness falls. Allure architectural exit signs in 316 stainless steel and the miniature LEDem GLO escape lights ensure the emergency lighting does not compromise this simply beautiful interior.
